1. Who We Are
Digital Hokage ("we", "us", "our") is an Indian web-hosting provider operating cloud.digitalhokage.in. This policy is governed by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Rules.
2. What We Collect
- Account data: name, email, phone, billing address, GSTIN.
- Payment data: processed by Razorpay/Stripe/PayPal — we never store card numbers.
- Service data: domain names, hosting usage logs, server access logs (retained 30 days).
- Technical data: IP address, browser, device — for security & abuse prevention.
- Cookies: session + preference cookies. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
3. How We Use It
- Provisioning and operating your hosting service
- Billing, invoicing, and GST compliance
- Security monitoring, fraud and abuse detection
- Service emails (downtime alerts, renewals, security advisories)
- Improving our products based on aggregated, anonymized usage
4. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share only with: payment processors (to charge you), hosting hardware/data-center vendors (to deliver service), and Indian law-enforcement when lawfully ordered.
5. Your Rights (DPDP Act)
- Access a copy of your personal data
- Correct or update inaccurate data
- Erase your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a grievance with our Data Protection Officer

6. Data Retention
Account data: while your account is active + 3 years after closure (for tax/audit). Server logs: 30 days. Backups: 7 days rolling.
7. Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We follow least-privilege access controls and conduct quarterly security reviews.
8. Children
Our services are not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Changes
We'll notify active users by email at least 14 days before any material change.
